New Representation: Rise Art

Rise Art, Richard Blades

I’m pleased to announce that I am now represented by Rise Art

Rise Art is a curated online gallery with a global reach. I was approached by Rise with the potential of working with them and when I realised that they also represented one of my favourite artists, Fred Ingrams, I saw it as an exciting opportunity.

Viewing and buying Art in the 21st century, and especially post COVID, has changed. Whilst the physical gallery is still an important space, the online world is providing a dynamic and accessible option for artists and collectors.

Highgate Contemporary ‘Still Life’ Exhibition

5th - 26th September 21

I’m pleased to be selected for the Still Life Exhibition at Highgate Contemporary. It is a gallery I have long admired and it is a great honour to feature in their group exhibition.

My painting ‘A quiet corner 1’ can be seen alongside outstanding works by some very talented painters.

Norfolk

I’m happy to say I have now relocated to Norfolk.

It has been a dream for some time to return to living in the countryside. After 10 years in London, the time has come. Norfolk is such a beautiful place with so many sources of natural inspiration, from the sea and skies to the gorgeous woodlands and waterways.

I can’t wait to get settled and discover the landscape. I plan to embrace Plein Air painting as well as setting up a new studio.

New Gallery Representation

I’m really pleased to announce that I’m now represented by the Thomas Henry Gallery in Newlyn, Cornwall.

I lived between Devon and Cornwall for close to a decade and my passion for Art really began down there, with the Newlyn and St Ives schools being huge influences. I remember visiting the old Millennium gallery in St Ives and making a little wish, that one day I would show work in a Cornish gallery. It is a proud moment to work with the Thomas Henry Gallery and I really appreciate the support and encouragement of gallery owner, Paul Copson.

As a former lighthouse keeper, Paul’s love of the sea reflects my own. I’m now on the East Coast but so happy to establish a firm connection with Cornwall.
