Online Gouache Workshop (Live & recorded)

SOLD OUT Sat 8th June 2pm-6pm GMT. This is a live 4 hour workshop via Zoom. It will be recorded in its entirety so no problems if you are unable to make the live session. The recording will be available for 3 months after the live session and available to all who purchased the workshop.

Great for beginners and those with a little more experience. In this workshop we will be exploring the possibilities of Gouache. One of the most versatile and beautiful of all paint mediums.

I will be showing how I create my landscape and sky paintings, step by step and with lots of exercises for participants to engage in. From colour mixing and working with a limited palette to mark making and direct/indirect observation.

Here are some of the focuses

Simplifying the landscape
Expressive Skies
Painting clouds
Using texture
Complimentary colours

Painting loose and free

My approach to painting is straightforward and my style of teaching, interactive and clear. Feedback on participants work will be given after and during the workshop via padlet
